ABACUS

Funded by the European Commission, the ABACO (Agro-ecology Based Aggradation-COnservation agriculture) project aims to reduce the vulnerability of small farmers in semi-arid areas of Africa to climate change. Through co-innovation platforms, the aim is to invent, evaluate and implement technical solutions inspired by conservation agriculture and agro-ecology to better reduce the degradation of soils and food insecurity.

Goals

In semi-arid regions, small farmers are extremely vulnerable to climate change. They are the first to be affected by soil degradation and food insecurity.
