FAFIALA Center
FAFIALA is a center engaged in the field of rural development and environmental protection. The center has been training farmers, technicians and various associations in rural development work since 1992, which will mark its 30th anniversary in 2022.
One of the 5 centers of the time was built thanks to Swiss inter-cooperation, the only one still standing today. However, the structure of FAFIALA is also changing over time, said Mr. Raveloarijaonina Nonah, Executive Director.
FAFIALA is an active center in rural areas based on sustainable development. His field of work now extends to different regions. The north, the south, the west and the east and the center. Improved production techniques are used to cope with climate change, agriculture is about protecting the environment and taking nature into account, said executive director Raveloarijaonina Nonah.
BOOST-OI offers an inventory of agricultural research and development projects in the southwest Indian Ocean region to meet the challenges of sustainable development and adaptation to climate change posed to stakeholders in the area.
