Aware of the problem of access to land among vulnerable rural households, the OSDRM in partnership with the NGO AMI are tackling the vicious circle described above: it is a question of giving households the opportunity to secure their land rights on land that they will have previously developed, developed and exploited using agroecological and agroforestry techniques.
This is the purpose of the Support for Agroecological Transition through Economic and Land Security or ATASEF project, funded by the French Development Agency as part of the Sectoral Innovation Facility for NGOs (FISONG).
Give households the opportunity to secure their land rights on land that they will have previously developed, developed and exploited using agroecological and agroforestry techniques.
ATASEF thus plans in the long term to secure land tenure by certification of 450 Ha of land forming part of the former Kiangara Agricultural Investment Zone (Ankazobe District, Analamanga Region) for 225 beneficiary households, which receive technical and socio-organizational support from the project in the process of land development, development and exploitation.
The three components of the project call on the joint know-how of the OSDRM and the NGO AMI concerning:
– Support for the organization of producers, structured into Community Agricultural Savings Groups;
– Installation, land tenure security and financial inclusion of households;
– Support for agro-ecological intensification and economic integration.
