Southern Agro-ecological Technical Center
The CTAS (Agro-ecological Technical Center of the South) is an NGO under Malagasy law with around fifty employees, located in the Androy Region since May 2013.
It operates in the regions of the extreme south of Madagascar: the Anosy Region, Androy and Atsimo Andrefana.
The CTAS aims to promote food security and economic and social development in southern Madagascar.
BOOST-OI offers an inventory of agricultural research and development projects in the southwest Indian Ocean region to meet the challenges of sustainable development and adaptation to climate change posed to stakeholders in the area.
FAO Madagascar
Madagascar est membre de l’Organisation des Nations Unies pour l’alimentation et l’agriculture (FAO) depuis le 9 novembre 1961. L’ouverture du bureau de la FAO à Antananarivo est fondée sur l’Accord de Siège signé avec le Gouvernement malgache en 1981. Le bureau couvre en même temps : les Comores, Maurice et les Seychelles. Les locaux abritant actuellement la Représentation ont été mis à disposition par le Gouvernement malgache, et inaugurés officiellement en septembre 1998 par le Ministre de l'Agriculture, de l'Elevage et de la Pêche.
